Fashion and art has long been an irresistible combination, and Fivestory – Claire Distenfeld‘s impeccably curated townhouse/boutique on East 69th Street – proved that maxim true once again with another one of its chic soirees. On Wednesday evening, the store was transformed into a gallery space and living tribute to artist Sydney Albertini – showcasing her paintings and sculptures along with one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces, exclusively for Fivestory. Sydney Albertini’s art and exclusive handmade works – in a new line called SydneyToWear – will be displayed in the boutique until Monday, October 7th.

“It’s a bit chaotic in my house, but somehow I’ve managed a system that works for me,” said Albertini of her less than conventional work style. Whatever her method, it was a hit with Fivestory’s ever fashion-forward crowd, among them Hannah Bronfman, Leandra Medine, Chloe Malle, Shala Monroque, Stephanie LaCava, Miroslava Duma, Natalie Joos, and Annette and Phoebe Stevens of Anndra Neen Jewelry.

While trying on the exclusive wearable art pieces, guests had the chance to enjoy a one-of-a-kind raw coconut water cocktail recipe by Harmless Harvest, the sponsors of the launch event for which illustrated their iconic logo.
