Introducing the AVENUE 40: the next generation of exciting, unusual, irreverent, naughty, witty or drop-dead glamorous people we would get out of our pajamas to see.

Acquavellas: Al Acquavella; Nicholas Acquavella; Eleanor Dejoux, William Acquavella’s three children all work with their father at Acquavella Galleries. The gallery—which has been family operated since its founding in 1921— began with Italian Renaissance works and expanded vastly into major categories of the 19th and 20th centuries under William who is considered one of the world’s most influential art dealers. Now that the third generation of Acquavellas have joined the ranks and will be given the task of continuing the gallery’s uptick. Based on the buzz of the gallery’s current exhibit Riopelle/Miro: Color; so far, so good.

Derek Blasberg: Perhaps known best for attending every great party and getting dedicated Instagram birthday posts from the most admired women in the city, Blasberg will also be the first to remind you that he has an impressive reporter resume and a best-selling book. How he attained his status aside, he has finally reached his summit as the newly minted “Man about Town” for Vanity Fair. Do we smell the next Truman Capote?
