Daniel Hechter is often referred to as the inventor of ready-to-wear, or prêt-à-porter. He is a French fashion designer who was born in Paris and brought up in a family who owned a fashion company. It was in his DNA to become a world-renowned designer. Now, retired to Geneva, Switzerland, his brand, and success, are still thriving around the world.

Tuesday evening at Bryant Park Hotel, the New York branch of the French fashion house hosted a cocktail party to celebrate its continued success, and new fall collection. Guests enjoyed shopping and good conversation over a pretty sweet view of the Empire State Building dressed in the sunset. Hor d’oeuvres were served on tabloid papers, champagne was on the rocks, and the merchandise was sleek and modern and definitely trendsetting.

Those who gathered to enjoy the evening together included Christophe Blondin-Pechabrier, Lionel Geneste, Brenda Schad, Cristiana Lopez, Ian Jeffries, Loic Le Marchand, Alyssa Kane, John David Robbins, Lorenzo Vallot and David Ahn.
