Friends of Finn and The Humane Society host “Friends of Finn by the Shore”

Who let the dogs out? Pups and animal lovers alike came together for the “Friends of Finn by the Shore” fundraiser on June 29 organized by Friends of Finn in conjunction with The Humane Society of the United States.

Hosted at The Surf Lodge in Montauk, guests gathered in the sun and sand to support the worldly cause, basking on outdoor couches adorned with “Friends of Finn” pillows. Party goers also had the pleasure of bonding with some of the pooches while sipping on premium Les Compagnons wines, a proud supporter of The Humane Society and sponsor of the event.

Founded by previous AVENUE cover girl Amanda Hearst after she found out her Chiweenie (half Chihuahua, half Dachshund) Finn was a “puppy mill dog,” Friends of Finn has been a headstrong advocate for dogs in puppy mills, raising funds for educational and public awareness initiatives and rescue efforts. “This is an exciting moment in the campaign against puppy mills, and I am so proud to be a part of this movement,” said the pup-lover herself.

And what better way to enjoy your summer days than with man’s best friend? Guest of honor Finn graced his classy company, along with Hearst and committee members Georgina Bloomberg (also a former AVENUE cover girl) and Kimberly Ovitz. Allison Port, Louise Tabbiner and Spencer Harris were among guests eager to support the cause. Canine comrades also made special appearances, relishing heartfelt affection and a little time unleashed on the beach.
