Summer may be coming to a close, but those who still have a hankering for fresh seafood should mark the dates (September 24th and 25th) for the first annual Hammer & Claws Blue Crab Feast.  This celebration of all things Chesapeake – organized by Josh Morgan of New York City’s Choptank Restaurant and  Demanding Ventures – will take place in Chelsea’s Historical Terminal Warehouse, with seatings from noon to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 11 p.m.

Live Maryland Blue Crabs will be steamed with traditional Old Bay seasoning on site, where guests will enjoy the picking and cracking of these hot delicacies.  In addition to all-you-can-eat Blue Crabs, a ticket will also get you traditional “fixins” like cole slaw, potato salad and corn; all you can drink beer; cocktails courtesy of Domaine de Cantone; O.N.E. Coconut Water, Crumbs cupcakes; live music; and much more.  A portion of the proceeds from Hammer & Claws will be donated to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in its continuing efforts to restore and protect Chesapeake Bay.   After a steady fashion week diet of hors d’oeuvres and champagne, you will deserve to treat yourself to this grand Maryland tradition.  Tickets are going fast but can be purchased at www.hammerandclaws.com.
