Donna Karan, who created one of the first true lifestyle brands with Urban Zen, debuted her New Elements Collection on Friday at the penthouse of her Greenwich Street headquarters for friends and editors like Dayle Haddon, Ingrid Sischy, Sally Singer and Stefano Tonchi.  AVENUEinsider loved what has now become a signature of the designer: asymmetric styles and draping, in colors inspired by nature like stone, oatmeal, slate, brown, seafoam green, and of course black.  To offset the simple, soft, jersey materials, the models wore chunky, laser cut jewelry from thick leather bracelets to layered necklaces.  In the midst of this most unpredictable weather, AVENUEinsider found this seasonless, effortless, almost lounge like collection to be the perfect transitional wear.
