Last Wednesday, YUE magazine publisher and fashion fixture Chiu-Ti Jansen hosted a cocktail reception to celebrate the launch of YUE’s fall 2013 Power Issue at the Gilbert Albert flagship in Manhattan. The issue – revamped for this season – includes a feature on China’s top stand-up artist-comedian Zhou Libo, and a story about Chinese models pursuing dream careers in New York City. In addition, it presents the hottest fashion trends for the fall season along with the must-have accessories that convey power and authority.

“Our new look and exclusive content reinforce the essence of our brand: unsurpassed luxury and access. We are delighted to celebrate this new milestone on the occasion of Gilbert Albert and Royal Salute’s 60th anniversary,” Jansen said.

Among the notable Chinese and New Yorkers spotted perusing Gilbert Albert’s latest collections and sipping Royal Salute Scotch Whisky – first created to mark the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 – were Geoffrey Bradfield; Madame Wang Min; Chien Chung Pei; Lucia Hwong Gordon; Patricia Shiah; and Michele Gerber Klein. Incidentally, Royal Salute is the favored Scotch Whisky in China, where the Chinese elite select the brand as their “choice drink among friends.” Cheers!
