At the Eighth Annual Golden Heart Awards at Spring Studios last Thursday evening, October 16, Anna Wintour received the Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service and the organization celebrated President and CEO of CBS Corporation Leslie Moonves, who received his award from Academy Award-winning actress and United Nations World Food Programme Honorary Partner Halle Berry. Lastly, Michael Kors presented longtime volunteer and former Board Chair Richard E. Feldman with the Golden Heart Award for Outstanding Volunteerism. The dinner was the most successful event in God’s Love We Deliver history, raising over $3.9 million thanks, in part, to the auction portion where guests like Vera Wang bid over $18,000 for a walk-on role on CBS’s “The Good Wife” and two tickets to the 2015 Tony Awards.

Guests included actress Blake Lively (marking the first public appearance of her growing baby-bump), model Elettra Wiedemann, actress Lynda Carter, socialite Blaine Trump, model Daria Strokous, actress and model Jamie King, model Carolyn Murphy, philanthropist and designer Ariana Rockefeller, model Hilary Rhoda, actress Bette Midler, model Chanel Iman

God’s Love We Deliver is the tri-state area’s leading provider of nutritious, individually-tailored meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. The organization was founded in 1985 when one woman began delivering food on her bicycle to a man dying from AIDS. God’s Love We Deliver now cooks 4,600 meals each weekday, delivering them to clients living with life-altering illnesses in all five boroughs of New York City, Newark and Hudson County, New Jersey. All services are provided free of charge, without regard to income, and God’s Love has never maintained a wait list.
