God’s Love We Deliver, the only organization of its kind, delivers 1.8 million nutritious, individually tailored meals annually to clients living with severe illnesses, their children and senior caregivers, in New York City. Over the weekend, it spread its love east, as 300 supporters gathered for God’s Loves’ annual Hamptons cocktail event, this year at Water Mill’s Listowel, the beautiful, 15,000-square foot home and estate that, luckily for the many admirers, just happens to be on the market.

“We look forward to Midsummer Nights drinks every year” said David Ludwigson, Vice President and Chief Development Officer at God’s Love. “With the generosity of so many, we can always be there for all of those in the New York City metropolitan area who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves.” Its clients are those living with severe illnesses, their children and senior caregivers. This evening, New Yorkers’ generosity raised $300,000.

Guests bid on God’s Love program items such as funding meals for one year for a person living with HIV/AIDS or meals for a mother living with breast cancer and her children.

Sam Shahid, legendary art director who designed God’s Loves’ iconic hand in the heart logo in 1993, was honored for his support and volunteer work. Fans saluting him included Vicente Wolf, Mark Brashear and Jim Shreve, Jon Gilman, Margaret Russell, Fern Mallis, Michael Lorber, Jamee and Peter Gregory, Ron Carlivati, David Kleinberg, Robby Browne, Esther Newberg, Michael Anthony, Paul Beirne and Jonathan Raiola.

If the Canard hors d ‘oeuvres and raw bar, and signature cocktails from Dante NYC didn’t sate, there were ‘Chuck’s Famous Brownies’, cooked by Chuck the Baker, who has been the baker for God’s Love for over 27 years.
