As a big contender in all things Internet browsing, Google of course has a hand in music streaming and downloading. Google Play Music is just one more way in which the search engine rules the world.

Saturday, August 1, Google Play Music presented a performance at the Surf Lodge for its supporters. Wolf Alice performed along with a DJ set by The Extortionists.

It was an afternoon of sun, sand and socializing, and of course singing along, on the Surf Lodge’s untouched coastline. Nestled in the beautiful Montauk, the Surf Lodge is a highly sought vacation oasis for domestic and international travelers alike. Not to forget its intimate event venue that serves as home for many Hamptonite events.

There’s no question why Google Play chose it for its party. Wolf Alice lead singer Ellie Rowsell, set the tone for the evening along with her fellow band members Joff Oddie (guitar and vocals), Theo Ellis (bass) and Joel Armey (drums).

The British alternative rock band served as the perfect counterpart to the DJ set by The Extortionists. As guests including Genesis Mota, Adam Spoont and Kaitlin Robbins danced the night away, Google earned another green check on its list of successes.
