Grace Coddington Publishes “Grace: The American Vogue Years”

Friday, September 2, 2016

Iconic Vogue creative director Grace Coddington will officially launch her new book, Grace: The American Vogue Years, on Labor Day. The work is a collection of photos that were all styled by Coddington for Vogue and features her working with everyone from Ewan McGregor to Edie Campbell.

For those who are looking for some picturesque Labor Day reading if you weren’t planning on any Hamptons parties, Coddington will dazzle you and impress your visual senses with the looks she created for models such as Fei Fei Sun and Kate Moss.

The book includes a forward by Oscar-nominated actress Saoirse Ronan and an introduction by legendary fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Michael Roberts, former fashion editor at Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, co-art directed the book with her, designed the cover and also contributed an essay.

Coddington isn’t the only fashion talent featured in the book. The photographers who shot her incredibly styled spreads include the well-respected ranks of Steven Meisel, Mario Testino, Bruce Weber, David Sims, Mert Atlas and Marcus Piggot, Craig McDean and Steven Klein.

Coddington reflects on her days on set and gives anecdotes about working with the world’s top photographers, models, artists and celebrities.

Grace: The American Vogue Years will be published on Monday, September 5 by Phaidon.
