One of AvenueInsider’s favorite fashion powerhouses has landed yet another big gig. Graziano de Boni (or “Graz” to his friends), who spent years at the Valentino Fashion Group before leaving to become CEO of Prada USA and then was most recently the president of Reed Krakoff of the Coach Group, has just been appointed the CEO of Giorgio Armani Corp., replacing Bruno Laguardia.

Known for his skinny ties, fitted darn suits and endless charm, de Boni will help be based in New York. Armani’s appointment of the well-connected and much-liked de Boni signals move to re-capture the American market.

“The appointment of Graziano de Boni underlines our commitment and strategic focus on the continued growth of the U.S. market, said Armani in a statement. Congratulations, Graz!
