New York and Great Britain often feel like kindred cities, and last night took the notion to a new level. Great Britain on Madison is bringing the best of British to the City’s most iconic shopping district, kicking off with a party that brought together innovators, tastemakers, and some of New York’s most stylish.

Present at the event was Nick Astbury, Deputy Consul General (@nickastbury1), Harpers Bazaar editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey, Vice Consul of Retail & Luxury Victoria Harman (@VicUKRetail), and Alison Sirkin, Business Development Associate, Fashion & Beauty (@alisoninnyc).

The event partnered with prominent brands, outlets, and organizations including AVENUE, Trent Cummins and Liam McLaughlin of Fashion GPS,  Madison Avenue BID, Walpole (@WalpoleUK), the Historic Royal Palaces (@HRP_Palaces), and Holly Fowler, who live painted a dress on a model at the event.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Madison Avenue party without a deluxe giftbag, courtesy of sponsors Erwin Pearl, Julie Bell Stationery , Molton Brown, Wedgwood Tea, Mulberry, Jo Malone, Walker’s Shortbread, and Belvoir.
