Now that we’re in the swing of summer, let’s toast to the sweetest time of year. The balmy days and breezy nights by the beach bring all the more reasons to sit back, relax and enjoy a nice, refreshing drink. Here, Baron’s Cove mixologist Ashley Malinowski shares a spectacular cocktail recipe using the simplest of ingredients.

1) 1.75 ounces house-infused blueberry bourbon to add some seasonal antioxidants with a kick

2) 3/4 ounce fresh basil and local Bees Knees honey simple syrup for a taste of sweetness

3) 1 ounce pure lemon juice for a tart accompaniment to the drink

4) Finish with a splash of club soda and top with a few local blueberries. Combine all and shake—Cheers!
