It’s no secret that Louis Vuitton is renowned for its leather goods. This month, you can find some rare ones—the luxury brand’s Monogram Eclipse collection of hard-sided trunks—at its Fifth Avenue Maison, available only until December 20.

Designed by the Kim Jones, artistic director of men’s ready-to-wear at Louis Vuitton, the pieces sport a more masculine version of the classic LV monogram, done in dashing black and grey tones. The inspiration came from the vintage-but-modern black leather on the iconic ‘Malle Courrier’ trunk in the Vuitton archives.

From mini-sized to oversized, the hard cases come in a myriad of styles—all with the company’s patented tumbler lock for safe storage—and double as objects of décor. In addition, exclusive special order pieces are available, such as whiskey cases, a wardrobe trunk, ‘Sécrétaire Stokowski’ desk trunk, ‘Secrétaire Chaussures’ shoe trunk and ‘Malle de Noel’ Christmas trunk designed to store ornaments.

Check out the collection at Louis Vuitton, 1 East 57th Street.
