Hervé Léger’s signature bandage dress took a fresh direction at the Fall 2016 presentation, when Lubov Azria reinvented and applied the “punk look” to the brand’s distinguished feminine style.

Though the bandage dress has evolved, it has managed to remain sexy, with a grungy twist—Azria’s classic curve-accenting garments were accompanied with rows of safety pins, fringe details, and metallic chains. Tight pieces were successfully paired up with oversized outwear—long-wide-sleeve wool and lamb coats—creating effortless chic combinations. Fitted bomber jackets and slashed cardigans, worn over figure-hugging plaid dress, definitely set the tone for the upcoming season. While pushing the label to a new level, Azria managed to sustain Hervé Léger’s undisputed sophistication, with an artistic incorporation of punk elements.

Among the attendees of the show were Petra Němcová, Abbie Cornish, Alexandra Richards, Annet Mahendru, Sami Gayle, Hofit Golan, Margaret Russell, and Robert Verdi.
