Beginning September 17 and running through October 24 at Hirschl & Adler Galleries is Elizabeth Turk’s exhibition titled Tensions.

This exhibition is Turk’s most recent body of work that was inspired by her solo exhibition at the Laguna Art Museum.

It’s a unique, yet out-of-the-ordinary, work for her. She combined her signature hand-carved white and black marble sculptures with stones and old redwood root systems. The purpose is to bring to life the investigation between balance and tension, man-made and natural, and material and concept.

This exhibition contains 25 works spread throughout three rooms, and for Turk it is exploration into new territory.

Tensions marks Turk’s fourth solo exhibition since Hirschl & Adler began representing her 15 years ago.
