Hollywood’s hot for Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012

Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Yesterday, stars aligned–and Hollywood stars lined the front row of the Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 presentation. Freida Pinto, Eva Mendes, Minka Kelly, Ashley Greene, Emma Roberts and Aussie actress Teresa Palmer were joined by New York’s stylish set (think Hannah Bronfman, Rachel Roy, Genevieve Jones, Lauren Remington Platt, Olivia Sandelman, Luigi Tadini, Dani Stahl, Brad Goreski, Olivia Chantecaille and blogger/model Lily Kwong) at the James B. Duke Mansion on Fifth Avenue for the show.

Of course, like any runway show, a bevy of fellow editors filled the room: Marie Claire‘s Joanna Coles, Zanna Roberts Rassi and Taylor Tomasi Hill, W‘s Stefano Tonchi, Teen Vogue’s Jane Keltner de Valle and Andrew Bevan, and O, The Oprah Magazine’s Adam Glassman, for example.

Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti presented a collection with 1930s elegance. Models such as Karlie Kloss, Vanessa Traina and Karolina Kurkova strutted down the runway in palettes of ivory, blue and metallics donning sailor-inspired looks, sleek suits and ultra-glam gowns paired with Fred Leighton jewels.

Unfortunately, one of our fave DJ’s and girl-about-town Becka Diamond missed the show because of taxi traffic. Good news is she was able to join everyone at the cocktail reception that was held at The Carlyle…

This Italian label is clearly a celeb favorite, and we expect to see them in the looks any day now, as after the show Greene tweeted: “Wow. Ferragamo killed It! I’m already calling dibs on some of the pieces!”
