Stand Up


This summer take on a different kind of physical challenge: paddle for a reason! Paddlers for Humanity is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization based in East Hampton that will host their 11th Annual Block Challenge on Saturday, July 30. The annual 18-mile open ocean paddle from Montauk to Block Island, dubbed the “NYC Marathon of the Hamptons,” has generated and donated more than $1 million to projects dedicated to bettering the lives of children on the East End. The paddle begins at 7 a.m. on the north side of the Montauk Lighthouse. Paddlers must raise or contribute a minimum of $1,500 to participate, $750 for paddlers under 18 years old.
