AVENUEinsider can always count on Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld‘s exhibitions to draw the best and the brightest from both the art and the fashion worlds, and his contemporary art opening last Thursday was no exception. Stephen Gan, Stavros Niarchos and Jessica Hart, Kim Heirston, Jeanne Greenberg-Rohaytn, Giovanna Battaglia and of course proud mom Carine were among the crowd who convened at Sotheby’s S|2 Gallery to toast the curator’s show “Hue + Cry,” his first collaboration with the storied auction house that featured 30 contemporary works which highlight the transformation of Abstract Expressionism. Guests admired the paintings and sculptures from artists the likes of Albert Oehlen, Angel Otero, Nicolas Pol, and Rob Fischer before decamping to Casa Lever, where friends celebrated the opening’s resounding success over a dinner of risotto and branzino.
