IFC Films presents the New York premiere of ‘Boyhood’

Yesterday evening IFC Films hosted the New York premiere of Boyhood at the Museum of Metropolitan Art. IFC Films is one of the leaders in the independent film industry based in New York City.

IFC was established in 2000 and is owned and operated by AMC Networks, Inc. It has multiple brands that all contribute to its distribution of authentic, quality and talent-driven independent films.

One of the most recent films in their lineup is BoyhoodBoyhood has received 7 awards from the Berlin International Film Festival, Seattle Film Festival and the SXSW Film Festival. On top of those awards, it received 2 more nominations at the Sydney Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival.

Boyhood gives its viewers the chance to grow up with a male adolescent. Watching and experiencing the life of Mason, from the time he is 5 to the end of his years as a minor. The film is directed by Richard Linklater.

The cast was excited to celebrate the premiere together. Some of the members in attendance were Ellar Coltrane, who plays Mason, Ethan Hawke, Lorelei Linklater, and Patricia Arquette.
