It’s beginning to look a lot like fashion week…

It’s here. Fashion Week 2011. To kick it off, Brian Atwood launched his new line B Brian Atwood last night at The Lion. Guests came well-heeled still looking fresh (since afterall, it is the BEGINNING of fashion week).

This line is at lower price point than his eponymous line and offers a wide variety of styles. Ballet flats, studded brogues, jewel toned peep-toes, platform hiking boots and stacked penny loafers…pick your poison.

Atwood says he is going for more of downtown look than red carpet look. Atwood will put out four collections a year, with a few classic staples varying in prints and materials (a round toe boot in black leather or red pony hair, for example).

Women and men from uptown and downtown flocked to the West Village hot spot to view this stunning collection and show support for Atwood and guest DJ Alexandra Richards. Guests included fellow designer Rachel Roy, Nate Berkus, Sara Armenta, Tinsley Mortimer, Brian Mazza, Jay Singleton, Shannon Bowie, Nancy Golden, Alex Stemer, Toni and Rick Canada, Loreta Corsetti, David Yi, Catherine Kallon, Charlotte Smith, Sarika Rustogi, Kelly Ricci and Stacey Kalchmand.
