Jean & Martin Shafiroff Celebrate Thanksgiving with Cocktails and Friends for the New York City Mission Society

On Tuesday, November 25th, Jean & Martin Shafiroff hosted 135 friends at their Park Avenue home to toast Thanksgiving and celebrate the work of the New York City Mission Society.

Sharon Bush, CNBC anchor Melissa Lee, Alex DonnerGeorge Wayne, Nicole DiCocco, Janna Bullock, designers Victor de Souza, Maggie Norris, Kithe Brewster and B. Michael were among the guests who donned fall colors, sipped champagne and were treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres from Cornelia Guest Events.

Executive Director of New York City Mission Society Elsie McCabe Thompson and Senior Vice President of Advancement Kenita Lloyd joined United Nations Head of Women’s Affairs Muna RihaniGail Karr, Bonnie Comley and Stewart Lane, Erik Bottcher, Jackie Weld Drake, Julie Ratner, Richard Farley, Ann Rapp, Roy Kean, Joan and George Hornig. and AVENUE’s President Randi Schatz at the awareness raising party. Cole Rumbough capped off the night by serenading Lucia Hwong GordonElizabeth ShafiroffDr. Penny Grant, Montgomery Frazier, Chele Chiavacci, Christine Schott Ledes and George Ledes, Chiu-Ti Jansen and Shane Inman.

Jean Shafiroff thanked everyone for joining her family to toast The New York City Mission Society, which helps children, youth and families in New York City’s poorest neighborhoods transcend the ills of poverty and create a cycle of success for generations to come.  A donation was made in honor of every person who attended.
