Karl & Carine hit the books

Tuesday, November 8, 2011

Carine Roitfeld has been quietly hinting about working on a project with Karl Lagerfeld these past few months, and from what we hear, the secret is finally out! Following the success of her last book, Irreverent, the ex-French-Vogue-Editrix is now gearing up for the release of her second book. Celebrating the “classic Chanel jacket,” the as-of-yet-untitled-book will feature portraits of stylish supermodels, socialites and actresses modeling the timeless tweed number. Just a few of the women photographed by Karl and styled by Carine include: Charlotte Casiraghi (Princess of Monaco and Grace Kelly’s granddaughter), the Fanning Sisters and Saskia de Brauw, among others. The release date hasn’t been set yet, but we’ll be sure to try and keep up with Roitfeld this coming year. The stylist/fashion/editor/photographer/model/entrepreneur has certainly been keeping herself busy since she left Vogue earlier this year.
