It’s official ladies, Sir Paul McCartney, 69 wed New Yorker Nancy Shevell, 51 yesterday in an intimate and down-right adorable ceremony in London, England. The pair, who have announced their engagement back in May, were all smiles as crowds cheered the newlyweds on their way out of Old Marylebone Town Hall. On what would have been John Lennon’s 72nd birthday, the Beatle was accompanied by band mate Ringo Starr and a small selection of close friends and family before the pair took off for their impending honeymoon. Though women young and old may be sobbing for the loss of a favorite bachelor, we can’t help but feel a flutter in our hearts for the happy couple.
