DAY 1 - Arrival Day
Arrive at Malta International Airport, meet your concierge-guide, and be transferred to the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa in Attard for the next 5 nights. Spend time getting to know your surroundings and the hotel itself. Enjoy an included dinner at the hotel!
DAY 2 - Valletta - Malta’s Capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Depart your hotel for a day of private touring in Valletta with your private guide and driver. Sites that will be included on this day include the Upper Barrakka Gardens, Manoel Theatre, a private visit to the hospital of the Knights of St. John as well as traversing some of the back streets to see people in their daily life. A lunch will be included at a local restaurant.
DAY 2 - Valletta - Malta’s Capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site - Continued
As a grand finale for the day, enjoy an experience at the mother church of the Knights of St John - St. John's Co-Cathedral - arguably the most important site in Valletta. Depart for dinner and arrive at a restaurant in the middle of nowhere. It’s a favorite - not just for food but for the atmosphere and family that runs it. You may wish to purchase from the owners very extensive port , sherry and rum collection at very reasonable prices.
DAY 3 - Northern Malta and Farm Experience
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Depart for Northern Western Malta with a few stops along the way such as at the picturesque Ghajn Tuffieha - literally meaning “Spring of the Apples,” finally arriving at the chapel at Bingemma and the old Jewish burial caves seen near Victoria Lines. Your farm and lunch experience is all about the local delicacies of Malta and what better way to experience it than in private farms. Taste everything from Maltese cheese, olive oil, bread, wine, vegetables and more - everything direct from the farmers. Today is about the Maltese countryside - seeing some of the most rural areas of our main Island.
DAY 3 - Northern Malta and Farm Experience - Continued
After lunch depart for Mdina and Rabat, Malta’s Old Capital area, where you will explore old catacombs and have a private visit to a Master Gilder’s workshop to see how famed Maltese clocks are made. In Mdina, where history traces back more than 4000 years, you will experience timeless culture and religious treasures. As you walk the lamp-lit streets, you will make your way to the home of one of Malta’s noble families, reveling in a palace filled with priceless works of art, clocks, and so much more!
After your royal experience, make your way back to the hotel, relax, and enjoy the spa facilities. Explore around and enjoy dinner on your own this evening.
DAY 4 – Gozo Island
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Depart your hotel with private guide for the island of Gozo to discover its splendor. Your first visit of the day will be at the Xwejni Salt Pans. The production of sea salt has a long tradition in Gozo and the saltpans found near Marsalforn are still used today. Next, pay a visit to the village of Xaghra where you will visit the Ggantija Temples, one of the oldest free-standing structures in the world.
DAY 4 – Gozo Island - Continued
Next, enjoy a special, privately cooked lunch with famed chef George Borg in his studio kitchen. Continue on the the capital of Gozo, where you witness a mixture of old and not so old traditions. To cap off your day of sightseeing, travel to the eastern part of the Ramla Bay to arrive in a cave that has the best view of the area – a final look at such a beautiful island. Afterwards, arrive back in Malta to unwind at the hotel, and enjoy dinner on your own.
DAY 5 –Countryside Walk, Southern Malta and a Presidential Palace
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Head out for a countryside walk in the southern village of Marsaskala with your guide followed by the freshest of fish lunches in the Marsaxlokk fishing village. Afterwards, travel up the coast to the Dingli Cliffs, where you will experience breathtaking views and discover the palace of Buskett — the summer residence of the President of Malta. You will have the esteemed privilege of being shown the palace by a 3rd generation caretaker.
Return to the hotel to freshen up and then depart for a final dinner experience at the village of Birgu, the first location that was settled by the Knights of St. John. Enjoy a dinner a restaurant without menus – it’s whatever’s fresh. The owner will instill in you that “Mother Earth is the chef; We’re Just the cooks”.
DAY 6 – Depart Malta
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, and prepare to bid adieu to the beautiful island of Malta, taking home with you a memories to last a lifetime!
