Marissa Cooper…ahem, I mean Mischa Barton launches bag line

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Does anyone still remember the reign on former primetime television princess Mischa Barton. Marissa Cooper, her character on the the much-loved teen series “The O.C” was the epitome of West Coast style in the mid-2000’s and sky-rocketed the actress to style diva fame. Coveted for her boho-chic vibe and enviable figure, Barton became the poster-girl for cool for an entire generation of girls. Cut to 2011 and after exiting the show, a series of failed relationships, projects and roles, Mischa Barton is a name more often affiliated with Marijuana Busts and DUI’s than ultra-chic style.

But that’s all about to change as Barton prepares to make a come-back with her new collection of handbags which launched on Friday at New York boutique A. Turen. Collaborating with super-stylist and branding guru June Ambrose, this hand bag line is not only eco-friendly, but wallet-friendly too and so chic that I’m sure we’ll be seeing the collection on the sidewalks in no time.

You can also find the bags online here.
