The show-biz duo has injected Hollywood movie star glam into the West Village, where they are fixtures everywhere from Magnolia Bakery to Marc Jacobs’ stores to the local playground with their kids. Catapulted to local hero status by “Sex and the City,” Parker has become a style icon with armies of Carrie Bradshaw wannabes braving the cobblestones of the meatpacking district in Manolos, trying to be the city’s next it girl. Broderick is a stay-at-home Broadway actor type of guy, who, amongst previous Broadway work, launched his career as teenage computer hacker in the thriller War Games. Passing up the opportunity to star in Family Ties Broderick’s breakthrough came with his role in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Where as Parker relishes the limelight, showing up in the front row of fashion shows (most recently next to Anna Wintour at Oscar de la Renta) and at A-list parties with pals like Karl Lagerfeld, Broderick returned to Broadway with Mel Brooks’ The Producers.
