Talk about the ultimate block party! The third annual weekend-long festival called “Open Market New Original” hosted by non-profit business alliance, MPIA, will be hitting the streets of the Meatpacking District on October 1-4. The exciting event will launch the area’s rebranded look and identity as well as celebrate its diversity and depth of businesses.

The host committee of the event includes a number of New York notables including Diane von FurstenbergAndrew Rosen, and André Balazs. To kick off the party, a concert will be held at Highline Stages (441 West 14th Street) from 7-10:30pm on October 1st, where singer Santigold will perform live with DJ sets from Tanlines and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Tickets to the downtown bash are $125 for general admission, which includes signature bites and cocktails from local restaurants such as Soho House and The Standard Grill. VIP tickets are $300 and come with extra perks and goodies: guaranteed access to the after party at TAO, a branded T-shirt, and priority access to the line up of weekend activities including food and drinks.

The Open Market weekend will also offer an array of fun activities that are free and open to the public including in-store events, shopping discounts, public art viewing and exclusive tours. Make sure to stop by!
