Man about New York and Mexico City, and AVENUE Power Elite listee Christophe von Hohenberg features three dozen years of his photography in anew show, Images & Icons: 1982 – 2018, presented by MM Fine Art at the Rafael Gallery, 235 E. 59th Street, from October 17 – November 10, 2018.  It opens with a reception and book signing Wednesday night.  Nine images from the show are in the gallery above.


A fashion, portrait, lifestyle and documentary photographer, von Hohenberg will show some of his most celebrated images, along with a selection of recent unseen work. 


First published by Vogue in 1979, he has produced two books, Andy Warhol: The Day the Factory Died, and Another Planet: New York Portraits 1976-1996. A third, Shadows of the Gods: Mexico City, is in the works.


Von Hohenberg’s work has been included in two exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, a solo exhibition at the Fotografiska Museum in Stockholm, the Goss-Michael Foundation in Dallas, the Amerika Haus in Munich, and galleries in the United States and abroad.
