The annual MoMA PS1’s benefit gala was made extra special last night, June 25, with the appearance of special guest Yoko Ono.

The museum currently features the exhibition, Yoko Ono: One Woman Show 1960-71, examining the artist’s early work.

This is the forth benefit gala to raise funds for MoMA’s extensive program of experimental art and events. Honored at this year’s fundraiser were artists Cindy Sherman and Mickalene Thomas and Dr Martin Winterkorn.

The benefit is one of the biggest events in the museum’s calendar, with cocktails, dinner and special performances. This year dance collective Flex Is Kings provided the entertainment.

Yoko Ono: One Woman Show 1960-71 runs until September.
