If you’re still buzzing over the New Museum’s 2015 Triennial Surround Audience, then we have some very exciting news for you- the curators of the 2018 exhibition have been announced.

Alex Gartenfeld and Gary Carrion-Murayari will co-organize the museum’s Fourth Triennial, Artistic Director Massimiliano Gioni has announced.

The New Museum’s Triennials are the only recurring International exhibitions in the country celebrating early-career artists from around the world, serving very much as predictive rather than retrospective art shows.

The new curators have an impressive resume between them. Alex Gartenfeld is the founding Deputy Director and Chief Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami. Gary Carrion-Murayari serves at the New Museum’s Kraus Family Curator, after previously serving at the Whitney¬† Museum. The duo will continue to work on projects at their respective institutions while researching for the upcoming Triennial.
