Oscar de la Renta was honored at the New Yorkers for Children Annual Spring Dinner Dance on April 16. The late designer and NYFC board-member was recognized for his efforts and impact on the organization’s programs and development with a special tribute during the event. Guests came out dressed in their favorite Oscar gowns to remember the designer and to help provide support for the nearly 11,000 youth in foster care in New York City.

Held at the Mandarin Oriental, the Dinner Dance was presented by Saks Fifth Avenue and included, obviously, dinner, dancing, cocktails and a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the organization’s foster programs.

Supporters included: Annette de la Renta, Bergdorf Goodman’s Linda Fargo, Helen Lee Schifter, Christine Schwarzman, Blackstone Group CEO Stephen Schwarzman, model Arizona Muse, Town and Country creative director Nicoletta Santoro, photographer Max Vadukul, model Julie Henderson, model Mirte Maas, NYFC director of development Amy McFarland, designer Clare McKeon, journalist Alina Cho, Christie’s Lydia Fenet, Oscar de la Renta executive Erika Bearman, Elisabeth Jones-Hennessy, Nicole Esposito, Shavonn Wheeler, socialite Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Natalia Echavarria, model Valentina Zelyaeva, Estee Lauder group president John Demsey, Gillian Miniter, Chloe Malle, Suzanne Burden and Vogue senior accessories editor Rickie de Sole Webster.
