New York is brimming with ambitious and driven folks, making waves in every industry from fashion to philanthropy. Refinery29 celebrated New York’s 30 Under 30 last night, with a stylish shin-dig at Jimmy at the James Hotel. Flying high on the rooftop, guests beat the stifling heat with signature Stoli cocktails, candy from none other than AVENUE favorite Dylan’s Candy Bar and tunes spun by DJ Brendan Fallis and former AVENUE cover-gal, Hannah Bronfman.

Senior Editor Kristian Laliberte and New York Editor Annie Georgia Greenberg played host for the night, mingling with the guests who were more than happy to escape the scorching sidewalks. Harley Viera Newton, Erin Fetherston, Yigal Azrouel and Bettina Prentice were on-hand to raise a glass to the chosen crew. The impressive 30—a perfect collection of style and substance—included DJ Solange Knowles, fashion icon Olivia Palermo, philanthropist Lauren Bush Lauren and nightlife guru Matt Kliegman—one half of the force behind the ever-popular Smile, Jane Ballroom and Westway.

The evening was perfect fodder for people-watching, and you’d all be wise to watch out for these game-changing New Yorkers. Check out more at
