The Frederic E. Church Award Gala Inside and Out: Celebrating Design and Decorative Arts was held last night at the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue, and sponsored by the Olana Partnership.

The Olana Partnership’s mission is to inspire the public by preserving and interpreting Olana, Frederic Church’s artistic masterpiece. They support the conservation, preservation, development and improvement of the Olana State Historic Site.

Church, one of the premier American landscape painters, made his home on the Hudson River Valley with his wife Isabel, where he painted his own Olana. He called it the center of the world. It has a Persian-style house and 250 acres of picturesque grounds that are a masterpiece as spectacular as any of Church’s paintings.

The awards gala honored architect Peter Pennoyer, interior designer Katie Ridder and Alice Cooney Frelinghuysen, the Anthony and Lulu Wang Curator of American Decorative Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner along with the awards program. Some of the people in attendance were Sarah Griffin, author Emily Giffin, Rosanna Eubank, Eric Dinsdale and Nicole Viole.
