PACE Gallery Celebrates Picasso & Jacqueline: The Evolution of Style

Last Thursday, October 30th, Pace Gallery hosted an intimate after party dinner at Cedar Lake, New York in celebration of the opening of the gallery’s newest exhibit in homage to Pablo Picasso and the artists devotion to his second wife, Jacqueline Roque — Picasso & Jacqueline: The Evolution of Style.

Picasso’s exploration of Expressionism during the last two decades of his life, his homage to Henri Matisse, and the inspiration he found in classical and modern painters is the subject of this major exhibition, presented at both Pace Midtown (32 East 57th Street) and in Chelsea (534 West 25th Street) this fall in New York. Picasso & Jacqueline will run from October 31, 2014 to January 10, 2015.

Party guests included Picasso’s granddaughter Diana Widmaier Picasso, artists Tara Donovan and Chuck Close, the Glimcher family; Arne, Milly, Isabelle and Lily, philanthropist Nathalie de Gunzburg, MoMA’s curator Ann Temkin, artist Fred Wilson, CBS Reporter and 60 Minutes‘ Morley and Jane Safer, sculptor Joel Shapiro, and editors Ingrid Sischy and Sandra Brant.
