On Saturday, the Breast Cancer Research Fund (BCRF)’s sixth annual Paddle & Party for Pink showed that Hamptonites are as big-hearted as they come. Chaired by Maria and Larry Baum, Lisa Pevaroff-Cohn and Gary Cohn, Kinga and Edward Lampert and Jackie and Bippy Siegal, and hosted by TV/radio host and producer Ryan Seacrest, the two-part event raised nearly $2 million to help fight breast cancer. “When I learned that a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes in the U.S., I was shocked,” said Seacrest. “We need to eradicate this disease and that’s what everyone in this room will help us do.”

The day started with a stand-up paddle board race at Haven’s Beach led by Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece, and continued later that night with a party at Fairview on Mecox Bay that featured DJ sets from Questlove and DJ D-Nice, as well as a performance by Taylor Dayne. The night also featured a de GRISOGONO candy bar, a Kendra Scott “Mystery Gifts for Goods” station and an auction of one-of-a-kind surf and paddle boards designed by artists like Mark Boomershine, Eric Cahan, Andrew Cotton, Nicole Miller, Lisa Perry, Lisa Pevaroff-Cohn, Donald Robertson, Kendra Scott and Hollie Watman.

Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, the Breast Cancer Research Fund is the largest private funder of breast cancer research in the world. The BCRF is dedicated to fighting breast cancer through funding groundbreaking, innovative research, and has been involved with every major breast cancer breakthrough since its founding.

Guests at the morning and evening parties included Jimmy Buffett, Stacey Griffith, Katie LeeTracy Anderson, Candace Bushnell, Clarissa Bronfman, Jennifer Fisher, Alex Guarnaschelli, Danielle Lauder, Jill Martin, Nicole Miller, Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl, Lisa and Richard Perry, Eric and Sandra Ripert, Kendra Scott, Christina Steinbrenner, Claire and Tony Florence and Jon and Lizzie Tisch
