Peter’s Pick: COMUNE

Wednesday, August 31, 2011

The AvenueInsider always fantasized about growing up on a hippie commune, as opposed to the upper east side. Well, if we can’t camp out off the grid in a commune, we can instead wear COMUNE, a great new menswear label that feels a little military, a bit workwear and even slightly preppy – all things we love.

“COMUNE is cornered in all things design and the inventive lifestyle behind these ideas. Our team has a deep love for thoughtful and functional design and our personal projects always seem to trickle down into the creative flow of the brand. From handmade lights and other swap meet finds, to new creative spaces constructed by shipping containers, we’re constantly making an effort to progress and move forward. That idea is the driving force behind COMUNE.”

That’s the label’s mantra. Our thoughts? Cool clothes!
