Since 1985, Donna Karan has been a key player in the world of fashion. Her focus was the working woman and making her daily dressing routine convenient. It started with the black bodysuit and adding simple pieces to create different looks. In June, Donna announced that she was stepping down from the company she had built and made her signature. She wanted to place all of her focus on her Urban Zen company and foundation. It’s no question Donna has had a decorated life and now the world will have a chance to get insight on her experiences. Full of personal anecdotes, Donna’s memoir “My Journey” is set to release this week.

We aren’t the only ones excited about Donna’s book release. Anna Wintour, Vogue editor-in-chief and Pierre-Yves Roussel, CEO of LVMH Fashion Group, were inspired to celebrate the release with an intimate party at Tutto il Giorno in New York City. Many renowned professionals in fashion were in attendance to show their support for Donna. Some of these were Iman, Calvin Klein, Tory Burch, Dao-Yi Chow & Maxwell Osborne (Donna’s successors), Eva Chen, and Linda Fargo. Other guests in attendance were Indre Rockefeller, Andrew Saffir & Daniel Benedict, John Demsey, Leandra MedineAndy Cohen, and Alina Cho.
