Pink Swan Project launches at SUITE New York

Hundreds of the design industry’s A Listers and other bold-faced names turned out to launch The Pink Swan Project SUITE New York on Thursday night.

Among those feting the project, which benefits Breast Cancer Research Foundation, were the Today show’s Hoda Kotb – a breast cancer survivor herself – and Today show producer Jill Martin; BCRF president Myra Biblowit; nutritionist to the stars Tanya Zukerbot, Pratesi chairman Federico Pratesi, designer Darren Henault, author Susanna Salk, La Perla CEO Suzy Bizantz, Berry Bloomingdale and Geoffrey Loisel, whose Billecart salmon rose champagne put all in a good mood.

Designers in attendance who had transformed the legendary Arne Jacobson Swan chair into creations of their own included Vicente Wolf, Julie Hillman, David Mann, Milly de Cabrol, Chris Kraig, Madeline Wienrib and D.B. Kim of PYR for Swarovski. Other designers who participated in the project included Windsor Smith, Campion Platt, Karim Rashid, Victoria Hagan, Alexandra von Furstenberg, Margherita Maccapani Missoni, Holly Fulton for Swarovski; Simon Doonan; and Jonathan Adler.

SUITE New York’s co-principals, Kris Fuchs and Maria Sepulveda, said: “Everyone is affected by breast cancer. We are honored and humbled to have contributed to the fight to defeat this disease.”
