Pomme New York Re-Opens in Southampton

Thursday, May 28, 2015

As we open up our Hamptons homes to the sun and sea after a musty winter of being all locked up, it seems like the perfect occasion to buy a couple pieces of furniture to celebrate the new season. And with Pomme New York, the home furnishings retailer and interior design store, re-opening its Southampton location the perfect pieces are easy to come by. The company launched the first Missoni Home mono-brand retail location in the same area just two years ago, and is now bringing some of the brand’s designs to their own store, as well as partnering with major international manufacturers like Kartell, Bolon and Trend Group. The store has specifically chosen to partner with manufacturers whose design and aesthetic align with the sophistication of Long Island’s East End.

So, to inspire you, we’ve listed three of our favorite pieces from the store’s selection that fit perfectly with the summer’s trends.

These gorgeous Abbracciaio Candle Holders are the best way to add a touch of old-school glamour with a twist to all your late night summer dinner parties. The metallic tone, which comes in two finishes (aluminum polished silver or gun metal and golden polished aluminum) gives it an elegant edge that fits into the metallic trend that we’ve been seeing on couches, tables and accessories this year, and the design, two shapes linking together to give the piece stability, is a completely unique take on the classic.

Missoni’s Masuleh Cushion can provide a subtle pop of color and pattern to the classic neutral colored couch that has become a Hamptons staple. The muted colors will add that little fun twist without going overboard and works with summer’s white, beige, green and grey. The fabric is also available to purchase by the meter, in case you really love it and decide to go wild, or if you prefer more color, in a variety of brighter tones.

Picture yourself lounging outside in the sun and getting tan while sipping on a chill glass of rosé. Now picture yourself leaning over to leave the glass on a tray, isn’t this the tray you’re imagining? The Bosque Tray contrasts solid acacia wood in a clean geometric shape with a brass and natural edges of rare druze stones for an authentic and substantial design.
