portraits of dorrian’s-part 11: Minnie Mortimer

From the pages of AVENUE’s February issue, one of the many memories of the Unofficial Preppy Clubhouse…

It was the first bar I ever went to. When we were teenagers, my best friend and I looked a lot alike. One summer she got this amazingly unstoppable fake ID. The plan was always for her to enter first, pass me the ID through a window and then for me to follow a few minutes later. Getting past the doorman was one thing, but once I was inside I had to watch out for my older brothers. They would send me straight home if they caught me talking to the older boys. Happy birthday Dorrian’s!
