Purple magazine, the racy (often NC-17 rated) bi-annual fashion glossy, turned Le Bain into an all-night, red-hot party palace on Saturday as they celebrated New York Fashion Week. Purple’s main man Olivier Zahm normally sports tattered jean jackets or bruised leather motorcycle jackets, but for his Purple soiree, Zahm donned a black velvet dinner jacket and puffed proudly on a cigar on the Astro-Turf covered roof of the Standard Hotel. Of course, Zahm didn’t remove his aviator shades, which like Anna Wintour and Ann Slater, are part of the Olivier mystique.

Artist Terence Koh was in his signature all-white outfit and told me that his favorite part of the night was “swimming in the pool secretly.” Party goers arrived from Alexander Wang’s celebration up the street, but stayed at Le Bain all night.

Spotted: Purple’s Caroline Gaimari and her sister Angela, Frankie Rayder, Lou Doillon (smoking many ciggies like a true French fille), Liv Tyler (who recently moved back to Manhattan from L.A.), Perry Farrell, Chloe Sevigny, Russell Simmons, Rosson Crow, Mario Batali, artist Aurel Schmidt, Terry Richardson, Devon Aoki, Glenn O’Brien, Sabine Heller, Chrissie Miller, photographer Richard Kern, Waris Ahluwalia, Byrdie Bell, Mickey Boardman and cute couple Nacho and Delphine Figueras.
