Rag & Bone hosts menswear event

Thursday, July 10, 2014

Yesterday evening at the DIA Art Foundation Center, Rag & Bone hosted their SS15 menswear event. The company’s clean silhouettes and continuous evolution of urban style remains evident in all of its collections.

Rag & Bone was founded in New York City in 2002 by Brits Marcus Wainwright and David Neville. The two put a contemporary spin on their British heritage to create a classic yet edgy tailored look that has become an esteemed part of the New York aesthetic.

In 2007 Rag & Bone received the Swarovski Award for emerging talent in menswear. Then in 2010, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) named Wainwright and Neville Menswear Designers of the Year, an award considered one of the industry’s most prestigious and highest honors.

As the label continues to expand, it keeps growing and succeeding as an international fashion phenomenon. Its first international boutique opened in Tokyo in 2010 and now has locations in London and South Korea.  It also has locations sprinkled in major cities throughout the US including Los Angeles, Boston, Washington DC and of course, New York City.

The event attracted many loyal fans, followers and trendsetters. Some of these included actor Michael Pitt, actress Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Andreas Laszlo Konrath, Gerald DeCock, Gucci Westman and Glenn O’Brien.
