RALPH LAUREN Fall 2016 Collection

Monday, February 22, 2016

Ralph Lauren’s mastery was once again reaffirmed when the designer presented his new Fall 2016 collection at New York Fashion Week. Super soft cashmere garments in a polished mocha palette opened the show, manifesting Lauren’s much-loved British look for the rest of the collection.

Karlie Kloss opened the show with the most effortless outfit imagined—a cardigan over a silk shirt and pants—setting the refined but glamorous tone. A series of menswear inspired looks followed—double-breasted jackets and coats over high-waisted trousers—all in Lauren’s signature color, beige. The saddle British tone of the show continued with fringed capes, knit tube skirts and velvet frock coats. The most regal of all was a crimson pleated velvet dress with the Queen’s golden coat of arm.

Among the notable attendees were Sienna Miller, David Lauren, Ricky Lauren, Emma Larsson, Lauren Bush Lauren, Stefan Larsson, Anna Wintour, Robert Sauerberg, Dylan Lauren, Laura Love, Harley Viera-Newton, Caroline Vreeland, Shea Marie, Steven Kolb, Edward Enninful, Carine Roitfeld, Robert Sauerberg, Grace Coddington, Adam Glassman, Margaret Russell, Hal Rubenstein, Veronika Heilbrunner, Justin O’Shea, Elizabeth von Guttman, Harriet Mays Powella and Margaret Hayes.
