Ralph Lauren in 4-D

Tonight at 8 p.m., a crowd of over 1,000 will watch the Ralph Lauren store as it virtually disappears. No need to worry—the new flagship store on the Upper East Side is just projecting a 4-D video (in higher resolution than Imax) on the façade of the building to celebrate this iconic American brand’s 10 years on the web.

The show will provide a history of Ralph Lauren—one the most technologically advanced design houses in the world. The virtual runway will be complete with models, and giant neckties will drape from the roof as Ralph’s signature Polo player emerges from the walls and gallops down Madison Avenue. If that isn’t enough, there will be bottles of the new Big Pony fragrances emitting Lauren’s signature scents into the air.

An over the top event such as this is only fitting for a brand that has pioneered technology in the luxury market. If you don’t believe me, head uptown and see for yourself.
