Not many people can say they have inspired a Ralph Pucci mannequin.

But last night, July 23, Anna Sui earned that prestigious accolade, as she participated in a live sculpting event at the Museum of Art and Design.

The designer turned model as Pucci’s master sculptor and right-hand man, Michael Evert, recreated her face out of clay.

The event was part of the Museum of Art and Design’s Ralph Pucci: Art of the Mannequin exhibition, which features over 30 of Pucci’s most iconic styles.

For over three decades Pucci and Evert have changed the way we perceive the humble mannequin, such as the iconic Anna Sui ‘Dolly Head’ creations.

As well as the mannequins on display, Evert will be in residence at the exhibition to show visitors the creative process in a recreation of the Pucci studio.

Ralph Pucci: Art of the Mannequin will run until August 30.
