An evening filled with music, singing, and dancing was called for on May 17, when Rosie’s Theatre Kids hosted their fifth annual spring benefit called, “Passing It On”. Held at the Ailey Citigroup Theatre, the New York City non-profit arts education organization (founded by Rosie O’Donnell and Lori Klinger), also honored Scott Hart and Bruce Horowytz, owners of 44 & X Hell’s Kitchen and 44 1/2 restaurants in the Midtown Theatre District. The dynamic duo were recognized for their dedication and mentorship towards creative, young up-and-comers.

The star-studded benefit, (that was just was heartfelt as it was entertaining) was hosted by O’Donnell and featured performances by students of Rosie’s Theatre Kids and their mentors, including Pat Birch, Tim Federle, Robert La Fosse, Caitlin Trainor, Patrick Vaccariello and BD Wong. A celebratory cocktail reception followed, and all proceeds from the exciting event benefitted Rosie’s Theatre Kids. Here’s to a big round of applause!
