The rain didn’t stop the social soirée at the Haven Rooftop on Tuesday afternoon. A prized gem of The Sanctuary Hotel on West 47th Street, the Haven Rooftop celebrated its 2nd anniversary under its new renovations.

Hotel owners Brandon and Hank Freid were excited to show off the newly transformed rooftop in all its Mediterranean glory. Guests felt like they were at an oasis without even having to leave the city. AVENUE insider was one of the lucky ones who made the list.

As I sipped on my Sauvignon Blanc and lounged back in my authentic, cushioned wicker seat, it’s like it was even monsoon’ing a mere five feet over outside the tented rooftop. The owners were going for a Mediterranean oasis and that’s what they provided. Revelers were able to enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and signature Haven cocktails such as the Mojito Majora and Cloudtini.

The rooftop provides exactly what its name says:  a haven. Whether patrons are looking for an after-work party or a weekend summer escape, it offers the best of both worlds. Haven now offers lunch from 11:30 am-2:30 pm with a la carte and a $29 price fixe option. Brunch among the clouds on Saturdays is also available from 11:30 am-2:30 pm.

The main rooftop, adjacent to the Haven, is open seven days a week during the same lunch period as well as 4 pm-until late. Guests can relish spectacular views from both rooftops atop the beautifully majestic Sanctuary hotel.
