The Boys and Girls Harbor celebrated its annual Salute to Achievement on May 6 at the Plaza hotel. This year’s saluted was David Weinreb, CEO of The Howard Hughes Corporation, who was honored at the event by event chair Bill Ackman.

The evening featured an auction, dinner, speeches and the highlight of the night, a performance by Jennifer Hudson. However, hers wasn’t the only singing voice heard. The organization’s kids came out in matching pink bow ties and suspenders (to compliment the venue decor) and performed their own song and dance number to the crowd’s delight.

DJ Fulano, the eleven-year-old prodigy who’s already been featured at Fashion Week and awards shows, also performed and got everyone dancing.

The night’s co-chairs included¬†Gwyneth Paltrow, Vanessa Williams, Matthew Blank, Lyor Cohen, Frank Gehry, Anthony Ingrao, and Steven Tisch who joined in to help raise funds and support the organization.

Other guests included John and Bill Pickens; Wilma and Ron Jackson; Dr. Thomas Howard; Harriet and Jesse Levine; Christine and Paul Scheele; Sarah and Brad Brady; Ronda and Mark Axelowitz; Delphine de Causans; Beth and Stephen Dannhauser; Andrew Rosen; Kevin Liles; and Ana Laspetkovski.
